About Coaster Me This

Look, I'm not gonna pretend this all started with some profound moment of enlightenment. It started at Canada's Wonderland as a kid, gripping the safety bar of a roller coaster with white knuckles, absolutely losing my mind in the best way possible. That feeling – that mix of terror and pure joy.

From there, it was kind of inevitable, honestly. I became that person. The one building K'NEX roller coasters on the living room floor (yes, they were structurally sound, thank you very much). The one who spent way too many hours in Planet Coaster and Roller Coaster Tycoon, designing increasingly unhinged rides that would definitely violate several safety regulations. The one whose YouTube watch history was basically 90% roller coaster POV videos and engineering breakdowns.

And I dove deep. Like, embarrassingly deep. I started researching the physics, the engineering, the history, the psychology of why we willingly strap ourselves into metal contraptions that defy logic. I learned about G-forces, inversions, airtime, laterals, and why some coasters make you feel like your stomach is in your throat while others just feel smooth and elegant. I became obsessed with the ins and outs – literally and figuratively.

But here's the thing: I realized I wasn't alone in this. There are so many people out there who get it. Who feel that same spark when they see a new coaster announcement. Who plan vacations around theme parks. Who can debate the merits of wooden vs. steel for hours. Who just want to nerd out about this stuff without judgment.

So here we are.

What This Is

Coaster Me This is for anyone who's ever felt that rush. Whether you're a hardcore enthusiast who's ridden 300+ coasters and can tell you the exact airtime on Millennium Force, or you're someone who just thinks roller coasters are cool and wants to know more – this is your space.

We're here to inspire. To help you discover parks and rides you didn't know existed. To break down why certain coasters hit different. To share stories from the coaster community. To make you want to book a trip, plan an adventure, and experience something incredible.

We're also here to nerd out. Unapologetically. Because life's too short not to get excited about the things you love.

What You'll Find Here

Articles about roller coasters, theme parks, the engineering behind the magic, hidden gems worth visiting, the history of iconic rides, and everything in between. Real experiences. Internet deep-dives. A little bit of humor. A lot of genuine passion.

No gatekeeping. No judgment. Just people who love coasters, talking about coasters, for people who love coasters (or want to).

Why Now?

Honestly? I'm at a point in my life where I just want to nerd out. And I think a lot of people feel the same way. We spend so much time being "professional" or "appropriate" that we forget how good it feels to just care about something. To get excited. To dive into a rabbit hole and come out the other side with a list of 15 parks we need to visit.

So that's what this is. An invitation to do that with me.

Welcome to Coaster Me This. Let's ride.
